For those who have been wondering why I haven’t posted more pictures, I can offer this by way of explanation; I haven’t really been around enough to take them. Sad but true. I was in Toronto for the weekend, and am off again, this time down in Virginia. Ethan reserved an extra special welcome for me on Saturday morning; in a ten minute period (I swear, no exaggeration) he managed to poo on me, then pee on me while I was cleaning that up, then spit up all over me once I cleaned up the first two messes. I think that means that he missed me.
I will be back in town for a long and luxurious 24 hours next weekend, in which time I will try to take pictures of the little man for all to enjoy.

There’s just one problem: he’s a baby. An infant, even. As you might imagine, a person who lacks the ability to sit or stand – yet has a visceral hatred of all things supine – becomes a rather high maintenance individual.
Praise be, then, to whomever invented the following devices:

Babies. It is truly amazing how many people you can gather together with 24 hours and a baby. Our young American friend (still not a Canadian citizen) had not yet met any of his great-aunts, nor his great grandparents…and he still has a way to go. But on Saturday – in a rare public demonstration – Ethan demonstrated his many abilities to his family. Showing what a well rounded character he is, he decided to showcase a diffirent skill to each family member…
To his great grandmother, he showed off his nascent abilities as a vantriloquist…
